I am in a group show this month at Flying M in Boise. The show is “Secret Lives” and some of my most favorite people are in this show with me.
Also, my first all graphite piece in ages and DAMN do I love it. Going to continue my work in this direction for a while.
More work for Bicycle Times for the current issue. Pizza made with vegan cheese that tastes like it hates you.
Recently just worked on another swap for Ten Paces and Draw (see all of them here). The sketch I sent in is the bottom right, and my final is the top left TMNT final.
I feel like this particular swap was extra interesting and successful is how each artist interpreted the other’s sketch. I really love how Bree Lundberg turned my dancing house into a really adorable birdhouse, with the tree mimicking my heart balloons. So smart.
The sketch I received was from Kate Haberer. It’s a really funny mole-man guy knitting something with his pet alligator. I couldn’t come up with a good mole-man like hers and was super stumped. I really loved the pipes and idea of being in a sewer and I instantly thought of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and decided to change up her sketch.
Finally done with this beast. My eyes and my wrist hurts. For some reason I had the absolute hardest time deciding on what colors I wanted this gig poster to be. It will be screen printed and for sale at the show.
***interesting fact I forgot to mention: Doug Martsch and his wife Karena, rescue/foster baby squirrels back to health***
I just opened an etsy shop to sell my hand painted bike bells! My shop is called Bits and Bells. Check it out! I had quite a few more, but sold them already.
I have potatoes on the brain. Thought I would turn it into something that can be used for Valentine’s Day coming up. I will put this up on Society6 so you guys can buy prints and whatnot.
edit. It is now on Society6. You can get it as a print, iphone case, or pillow!
The show hasn’t been announced yet, but this painting will be at Gallery 1988-in collaboration with Hello Giggles-for a show that opens Feb 1st. It is an all girl group show with the theme of “young adult novels” like Goosebumps, Babysitter’s Club, etc.
I am super stoked to get my work down to LA and to actually get to be at the opening! It’s going to be awesome, and if any of you are planning on going, come and say hi to me!
The original painting (16” X 20”) will be for sale, as well as prints that are just a little bit smaller.
I will post more as it comes.
I’ve got a New Years banner over at the Daily Dot. I have an interview coming up with them soon, as well. Check it!
Here’s a few painting that will be in an art show at the Visual Arts Collective in Garden City, ID that opens this Friday.
What a ratty bunch
Here is a quick illustration for a new product at work. It’s the Autumn Glory Apple. When you combine Fuji and Golden Delicious you get the Autumn Glory.
Some little paintings for 1 of 4 shows I am going to be in soon. Sheesh!
Things I am currently working on- a skate deck and bike bells. So many bike bells…
